Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer – Electrical with at least 5 years of experience in electrical equipment works, substations, and client interactions. The ideal candidate should be proficient in project planning, scheduling, and coordination, ensuring efficient execution of electrical projects within set timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination: • Develop and maintain project schedules using planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.). • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are met. • Monitor project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Electrical Systems & Substation Expertise: • Plan and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment. • Ensure proper functioning of substations, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical components. • Coordinate with electrical design teams to resolve technical issues. • Implement best practices in electrical power distribution and substation management.
Client & Stakeholder Management: • Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and project execution. • Prepare and present project progress reports, schedules, and cost estimates. • Address client concerns and ensure project specifications align with their requirements.
Documentation & Compliance: • Maintain project records, reports, and technical documentation. • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation planning.
Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and executing electrical projects. • Hands-on experience with electrical equipment, substation works, and power distribution systems. • Strong knowledge of project planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.). • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects efficiently. • Familiarity with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Preferred Skills: • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or power projects. • Knowledge of cost estimation and budgeting for electrical works. • Ability to analyze technical drawings and specifications. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. |
